Salzburgers, Highland Scots,malcontents
The Salzburgers were hard working religious people. They went to Georgia in hopes of escaping religious persecution only to find it in Georgia. They were moved north of Savannah and were only allowed to stay as a result of their hardworking state of mind. The highland Scots were fighters from Scotland. Most knew them by reputation but others didn't. They were in Georgia in order to keep the colony safe from Spanish attacks. The malcontents were the complete opposite of the other two groups. They wanted to leave because the regulations were to strict. They disliked and even hated the Trustees because they wouldn't allow them to drink alcohol, own slaves, or even have lawyers.
Spanish threat from Florida
Georgia is located just north of Florida, the Spanish controlled area. They were a buffer for South Carolina a main money make for Europe. That is probably the main reason why Europe wanted to colonize Georgia so badly, to protect South Carolina.
Trustee Period
This was when the trustees ruled over Georgia. If you didn't know they quit once there were to many malcontents to control. The trustees were not necessarily cruel ore mean but they had some pretty strict rules for the colonizers to follow like now Alcohol, because that made them lazy. As did owning slaves. Another was no lawyers because they protected you not the truth.
